Tyla Yaweh channels rock-star intensity through an approach that merges trap rhythms, pop melodies, and R&B textures around memorable hooks. Emerging in the second half of the 2010s, the artist first drew notice via several melodic yet somber recordings before shifting toward brighter pop with the 2018 release “She Bad.” His full-length debut, Heart Full of Rage—an acronym for “release all good energy”—appeared in 2019, and his initial Billboard entry arrived the following year via the Post Malone collaboration “Tommy Lee.” The upbeat 2021 track “Back Outside” echoed the tone of his earlier work, while the aptly titled single “Summer Vibes” arrived in 2023 ahead of the sequel album Heart Full of Rage 2.

Born Tyler Brown and raised in Orlando, he turned to music after his mother expelled him from the family home for selling narcotics. Establishing himself in Los Angeles, he generated early interest through several tracks made available commercially and promoted in 2017 by Repost Network and Get Dough. Dre London, manager for Post Malone, took notice and secured a deal with London Entertainment, distinct from London Records. Before 2017 closed, Tyla issued his London debut single “Drugs & Pain.” Additional 2018 releases included “Gemini” and the pop-leaning “She Bad.”

A London-brokered arrangement with Epic then elevated his profile, leading to the compact ten-track Heart Full of Rage in 2019. The project alternated stark and assertive material, with contributions from producers Simon Says, Hector Soundz, and the team of Garibay, Ramiro Padilla, and Sorry Jaynari. Guest spots came from PnB Rock and French Montana, while lead single “High Right Now” received a Wiz Khalifa remix. In June 2020 Yaweh joined Post Malone on “Tommy Lee,” a track paying tribute to and featuring the Mötley Crüe drummer. The following year brought the rhythmic “Back Outside” and “Hands Up,” the latter featuring Morray. Further 2022 singles comprised “Do No Wrong” with Trippie Redd and PnB Rock, plus “Sex Symbol,” before “Mile High” closed the year. “Summer Vibes” preceded the August 2023 arrival of Heart Full of Rage 2, which included appearances by Chris Brown, Toosii, and Ty Dolla $ign.
