Biography
Ion Vein, the Chicago group whose history extends to 1994, issued a pair of well-crafted progressive metal albums that channeled the sound of key 1980s acts including Fates Warning, Crimson Glory, and Queensrÿche. The first, Beyond Tomorrow, appeared in 1999, followed by Reigning Memories in 2003. Russ Klimczak handled vocals, Chris Lotesto covered guitars and keyboards, John Malufka played guitars, Brian Gordon held down bass, and Scott Lang performed on drums before Chuck White of Spirit Web took over the drum chair for the second release.
