Biography
David Guetta drew on the Jack Back alias to reconnect with his progressive house origins, an approach realized completely through the 2018 full-length Jack Back Mixtape.
The name first surfaced in 2012 on the Nicky Romero and Sia collaboration "Wild One Two" and at the same time designated a Spinnin' Records subsidiary overseen by Guetta. The Jack Back imprint continued to put out more than a dozen singles through 2017, some of which carried Guetta's own name, yet the artist credit stayed unused until September 2018, when Jack Back Mixtape arrived for streaming and download. Parlophone released the set as a DJ mix that wove in tracks such as "Pelican" and "Overtone" alongside previously unheard material.
