Biography
Florida seldom contributes meaningfully to rock & roll outside its most aggressive subgenres, among them death metal, sludge, and hardcore. Tallahassee's Kids Like Us, who formed in 2003, drew primary influence from the peak era of hardcore and crossover nearly two decades earlier. With a shared interest in enjoying themselves along the way, vocalist Lars Lundquist, guitarists Clint and Stephen, bassist Brandon, and drummer Jordan released their debut LP, The 80's Are Dead, on the small imprint Knife or Death Records in 2004 before moving to Eulogy Recordings for the follow-up, Outta Control, in 2005.
