Killa Sha

Hailing from Queensbridge, MC Killa Sha, also known as Sha-Lumi, made his initial mark in 1986 on the 12" single "The Tragedy (Don't Do It)" alongside the short-lived Super Kids, a crew that included fellow Queens rappers Craig G of the famed Juice Crew and Tragedy Khadafi. In the '90s he assembled other Queens-rooted collectives that failed to gain traction, yet he found notable work as Mobb Deep's official touring DJ and, early in the 2000s, as co-host of the Extra Long Radio show alongside Stretch Armstrong. By that time he had moved away from group formats, supplying verses instead to Tragedy's Against All Odds LP (2001) and the Lake compilation The 41st Side (2001) while also appearing on mixtapes hosted by DJ Kay Slay, DJ Whookid, and DJ Green Lantern. He issued his own mixtapes, including The Black Eminem and Da Billy Colez Story, before delivering his solo debut, God Walk on Water, via Money Maker Recordings in 2007; that album featured beats from Large Professor, Ayatollah, and Mobb Deep's Havoc.
