Biography
Emerging from Norman, Oklahoma, country vocalist Krystal Keith—whose birth name is Krystal Ladawn Covel Sandubrae—entered the world as the daughter of Toby Keith. Country music surrounded her from an early age, prompting her to start performing as a youngster and achieve her first chart appearance in 2004 through a duet with her father on their version of Inez & Charlie Foxx’s “Mockingbird.” Following her graduation from the University of Oklahoma, she entered the music industry by joining her father’s Show Dog-Universal Music label in 2013, where she issued a self-titled debut EP anchored by the single “Daddy Dance with Me.” Her first full-length project, Whiskey & Lace, reached listeners in December 2013. The album carried co-production credits for Toby Keith alongside Mark Wright and Nathan Chapman, while also containing three tracks written by Keith herself.
