The Stockholm-based ensemble Lacrosse crafts indie pop marked by a puckish, effervescent spirit that recalls the work of I'm from Barcelona and the Shout Out Louds. The lineup that came together in 2005 consists of Nina Wähä Arlinder on vocals, Kristian Dahl handling lead vocals and guitar, Henrik Johansson on guitar and vocals, Rickard Sjoberg on keyboards and vocals, Robert Arlinder on bass and vocals, and Tobias Dahlström on drums and vocals. Their opening release arrived in fall 2007 as the 7" single You Can't Say No Forever on Tapete Records, with the debut full-length This New Year Will Be for You and Me appearing weeks afterward. Two years later the same label issued the follow-up Bandages for the Heart, produced by Jari Haapalainen, whose prior credits include the Concretes and Camera Obscura. In the period after that record the group parted ways with keyboardist Sjoberg while adding August Zachrisson in the same role, several members became parents, and three years were devoted to composing fresh material. Returning to the studio in 2013 with producer Henrik Svensson, previously associated with Moneybrother, they captured a set of tracks that remained highly melodic yet took on a somewhat darker tone. Tapete brought out the resulting album, Are You Thinking of Me Every Minute of Every Day?, in early 2014.
