A young talent mentored by Deadmau5, Lamorn emerged as an American producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist focused on electro-house. Seth Person entered the world in 1994 and grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, where his earliest influences included future mentor Joel Zimmerman along with French duos Daft Punk and Justice. His father nurtured this electronic inclination by purchasing a keyboard when the boy turned seven. During adolescence he also embraced an indie rock period that prompted him to learn guitar. While still attending high school he secured a contract with StoryTime Entertainment, which issued his first single, the warmly bubbling melodic-house track “Sleep,” in March 2019. The sharper “Faulty” appeared that July, and the three-song EP Redacted closed the year with Izzy Estes handling lead vocals. His final StoryTime release, the instrumental “Metric,” surfaced in April 2020.

Lamorn next entered and won a remix contest whose prize was an August 2020 release of his version of Attlas’ “Half Light.” That month he also sent a demo of “Physical Layer” to the Mau5trap Mondays livestream. Deadmau5, its curator, responded by signing the newcomer to both Mau5trap and the imprint’s management division, Seven20. Lamorn’s first Mau5trap offering arrived in December: a breezy remix of Deadmau5’s Kiesza-featuring “Bridged by a Lightwave.” After reworking SHAED’s “Part Time Psycho” in April 2021 he turned his attention to original material.

“Physical Layer” became his inaugural Mau5trap single that June, coinciding with his first live performance, opening for Deadmau5 in his Phoenix hometown while playing electric guitar throughout much of the set. “Lonely Light” followed in August and “Between Us” in October, setting the stage for the November arrival of his debut Mau5trap EP, Encore. Within the same week he delivered a remix of Deadmau5’s collaboration with Foster the People, “Hyperlandia.”
