Biography
Lovestation achieved considerable popularity in clubs through their initial releases titled "Shine on Me" and "Best of My Love," yet it was not until 1995 that the group captured broader music industry notice via the enduring track "Love Come Rescue Me." The outfit's vocalist Lisa Hunt, a native of Brooklyn who developed her skills performing gospel music and trained at the renowned New York School for the Dramatic Arts, came to the band's attention after she had produced multiple solo works in Italy; Lovestation discovered her performing "Somewhere over the Rainbow" at a jazz venue in London.
