Luke Black

The Serbian pop artist performing under the name Luke Black was born Luka Ivanović. Originating from Čačak, he relocated to Belgrade to pursue studies in English language and literature, although he had already begun producing a sequence of private recordings intended solely for his friends. His first onstage appearance prompted a signing with Universal Music’s Serbian branch, which issued his label debut, the introspective single “D-Generation,” the next year in 2015. Later that same year, after releasing the comparatively brighter yet still pained “Holding On to Love,” Black put out the EP Thorns. The following year brought another single, “Demons.”
