Biography
In the early 1990s Puerto Rican Edwin Ladrón launched the Miami-based tropical ensemble Magia Latina. Vocalist María Fernández, formerly of Connecticut Band, became a member in 1994. The group relocated from Connecticut to South Florida in 1997 specifically to record its debut album La Rosita, which appeared that same year.
