Biography
Based in Los Angeles, the electronic duo Mako crafts emotionally charged, tuneful tracks pulsing with vibrant dance rhythms. The pair came together in 2011, uniting Juilliard-trained composer Alex Seaver with DJ Logan Light. Prior to their collaboration, Light had performed as an opener for acts like Tiësto and Avicii, whereas Seaver was building a notable path in composing scores for movies and TV shows. An introduction occurred when Seaver collaborated on a project involving Light's father, leading the two to discover shared musical interests and start creating their own songs. From 2012 onward, Mako has put out a consistent flow of singles and remixes such as "Beam" featuring Angel Taylor, along with "Music Is Better," "Way Back Home," and "Our Story." Their first complete album, Hourglass, arrived in 2016 and included the tracks "Into the Sunset" and "Wish You Back" that spotlight vocalist Kwesi.
