In the latter half of the 1970s, musician and philosopher Manolo Tena started composing poetry rooted in his own life events. His earliest group took the name Cucharada and stepped forward on June 5, 1978, by issuing a debut single that paired “Social Peligrosidad” with “Libertad Para Mirar Escaparates.” The next project, his second ensemble Alarma!!!, arrived on the local rock circuit in 1984 via a self-titled album and continued the following year with En el Lado Oscuro. By 1988 Manolo Tena chose independence, launching his solo career with Tan Raro and then releasing the successful Sangre Española album.
