Biography
Born to the renowned Spanish vocalist Dyango, Marcos Llunas launched his recording career in 1993 via a self-titled debut album overseen by his father. The project earned favorable critical notices and soon brought Llunas an accolade from the Latin publication TV y Novelas. His initial chart success arrived with the single “Reconquistarte.” For the follow-up project, Llunas teamed with established songwriter Juan Carlos Calderón to deliver Piel A Piel in 1994, an album that strengthened his presence across Latin America. Well-received concerts followed in Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, and Chile. Llunas captured first prize at the 1995 OTI Festival with the song “Eres Mi Debilidad.” The next year he returned to the same competition as a judge, an honor he also received in 1997 at Viña del Mar’s Festival. In that same year he issued the album Mi Historia.
