Marileyda

Marileyda Hernandez, who performs under the name Marileyda, is a Puerto Rican pop singer. Victory in the third season of Puerto Rico Idol came her way during 2013. August 18, 1996, marks her birth date, and vocal performances began in her earliest years inside both school and church environments. Talent contests entered the picture once she reached sixth and seventh grades, where wins accumulated quickly. Regional competitions then drew her participation, producing further victories across many events. At sixteen she auditioned for Puerto Rico Idol. The win delivered both the title and a recording contract with Universal, secured through her interpretation of "I Will Always Love You." Initial single "Para Recordar," a ballad, preceded the December 2013 arrival of debut album Desde Hoy, an event that took place prior to high school graduation.
