Biography
Born in central Florida, award-winning gospel performer Martha Munizzi grew up in a devout musical household that had her and twin sister Mary on the road performing nationwide by the time they reached eight. Her debut arrived in 2002 with Say the Name on Point to Point, after which she issued two independent projects, The Best Is Yet to Come in 2003 and When He Came in 2004; both entered Billboard’s gospel chart at high positions. The year 2006 brought a Grammy nomination in the Best Traditional Soul Gospel Album category along with the widely embraced CD/DVD package No Limits: Live, which topped the Gospel Chart on its first week and held the summit for six weeks total. Beyond appearances with prominent Christian ministries including Joel Osteen, Benny Hinn, and Joyce Meyer, Munizzi has shared stages and recordings with artists such as Yolanda Adams, Rizen, Israel Houghton, and Donna Richardson-Joyner. Another live album and DVD, Change the World, followed in 2008, and in 2011 she delivered her first self-produced studio effort, Make It Loud!, which introduced her daughter Danielle Munizzi among its featured performers.
