Biography
Matty Mullins first gained notice as frontman for the Dallas metalcore outfit Memphis May Fire. He entered the world on July 3, 1988, in Spokane, Washington, where his pastor father raised him on Christian rock acts such as Audio Adrenaline and the Newsboys during his early years. After brief stints in several comparable ensembles, he secured the vocalist role with Memphis May Fire through a 2008 audition, resulting in five full-length albums plus one EP issued with the group from 2009 through 2016. Rise Records released his self-titled solo debut that September, a predominantly faith-driven project whose smoother, airplay-oriented approach replaced select abrasive hardcore traits with electronic touches. The title track of his second album, Unstoppable, appeared as its lead single in January 2017, with the full set arriving that spring.
