Biography
Originating from upstate New York, teen pop singer Michael Fredo launched his stage career at the age of eight. After serving as a soprano in his church choir, he joined a regional folk-rock outfit once his voice matured, later moving to New York City to pursue classical training at the Professional Children's School and then performing for a year as featured vocalist with the Duke Ellington Orchestra. Quincy Jones met the young performer at a Los Angeles gathering and swiftly placed him on the Qwest roster; following a summer 1999 tour supporting Britney Spears, Fredo issued his debut LP Introducing Michael Fredo that autumn.
