Mumm-Ra

Formed during their school years by friends in the U.K., Mumm-Ra—whose name comes from a ThunderCats character—features guitarist James "Tate" Arguile, bassist/vocalist Niall Buckler, lead vocalist/guitarist James "Noo" New, guitarist/vocalist Oli Frost, and drummer Gareth Jennings, with Tommy B performing as live keyboardist. Their earliest shows often concluded in lengthy improvisations that pulled audience members onto the stage. After several EPs, the band delivered its debut full-length These Things Move in Threes in May 2007 via Columbia, produced by the noted figure Youth. Supporting runs alongside the Automatic, the View, and the Horrors, plus further appearances with the Kooks and the Kaiser Chiefs, helped advance the group's profile.
