Biography
Nabiha, a vocalist of Danish and West African descent from Denmark, crafts electronic dance-pop. Born Nabiha Bensouda in Copenhagen, she absorbed an eclectic mix of sounds from her parents’ record collection during her upbringing, ranging from reggae and R&B to disco and traditional Malian music. Performing under the name Tiger Lily, she forged enduring ties in the EDM world through work with the duo Sucker DJs and Ben Macklin. She also staged her own solo concerts and issued her debut album, Cracks, in 2010. An international edition titled More Cracks followed in 2011 and spotlighted the singles “Trouble” and “Never Played the Bass.”
Her 2013 release “Mind the Gap” reached number one in Denmark and gained traction in Belgium and Great Britain. That year also brought her sophomore album, Mind the Gap. In 2014 the singles “Bang that Drum” and “Animals” both landed in the Danish Top Ten, while “Animals” reached the top of Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Songs chart in the U.S. Nabiha served as a judge on Denmark’s Got Talent for the 2015-2016 season and unveiled the music video My Truth at year’s end. She reemerged in early 2017 with the single Young.
