Danish dance-pop singer Ida Corr, born in 1977 in Århus, Denmark, first gained notice through her membership in the short-lived girl group Sha Li Mar alongside Christina Undhjem, previously the lead vocalist of YouKnowWho, and Engelina Larsen, once the featured singer with DJ Encore. The trio issued a self-titled album in 2002 and then disbanded. Corr next teamed with house producer Morten Trust for the 2004 dance track “I Put My Faith in You,” issued on More House Records; its modest success earned her a solo deal with Kick Music. Her debut full-length project Streetdiva arrived in 2005, followed a year later by the label’s second Corr album Robosoul.

A 2007 one-off collaboration with Dutch house producer Fedde le Grand on his Flamingo Recordings imprint yielded the international breakout single “Let Me Think About It,” which also featured Danish R&B star Burhan G. The track became a major European hit, reaching the top of charts from England to Bulgaria while registering noticeable airplay in the United States. Corr followed it in 2008 with the eagerly awaited single “Ride My Tempo.”
