Natalie Jane built her profile through a charged, high-energy style of pop that channels the fallout of fractured romances. Her breakthrough arrived with “AVA,” a raw single named after the other woman in a love triangle, which surged to tens of millions of streams once it caught fire on TikTok in 2022. Additional streaming successes about unreliable partners soon followed, among them “Seven” and the 2023 post-breakup track “I’m Good,” a collaboration with Charlieonnafriday. Late that year she issued her first album, Where Am I?.

Raised in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey, Natalie Janowski began performing as a child under the guidance of relatives, one of whom sang opera. By eight she was already appearing in musicals, studying piano, and composing her own material. While still in high school she refined her hypnotic, anthemic pop approach during after-school sessions with a producer in New York City. Adopting the name Natalie Jane, she issued her debut single, the ballad “Plastic Hearts,” in May 2021. Capitol released her major-label debut, the confrontational “Love Is the Devil,” that August, just before her final year of high school. A rapid succession of further singles preceded the late-2022 explosion of the jealous pop anthem “AVA,” which generated tens of millions of social-media posts and streams. The track’s momentum revived interest in earlier releases such as “Seven” and “Mentally Cheating.” Now based in Los Angeles, she sustained a multimillion-strong audience with 2023 offerings that included “seeing you with other girls” and the duet “I’m Good” alongside rapper and songwriter Charlieonnafriday. In November she delivered her first full-length project, Where Am I?, which reached number 18 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart. The moody “Tattoos” appeared in early 2024.
