Nause emerged as a Swedish EDM and dance-pop act whose recordings have registered strongly on domestic charts. Their tracks blend luminous melodies and a summery feel with an undercurrent of longing and emotion. Formed in Stockholm during 2008, the project initially included Jacob Criborn, Kami Montgarde, and Leonard Scheja, though Montgarde later departed. Early on, the duo focused on remixes of tracks by Deadmau5 and Tiësto before delivering official reworkings for Rebecca & Fiona, Lazee, and Britney Spears. Following their signing to Universal, the 2011 release “Made Of” became their first single; it dominated Swedish airplay, reached number 15 on the national singles chart, and earned double-platinum status. Additional Top 40 entries followed, among them “Mellow” and “Hungry Hearts,” the latter ascending to number one in 2012. That year the pair also embarked on a Swedish tour and appeared in the television series Heartbeats alongside Adrian Lux and Albin Myers. The 2014 single “Head Over Heels” climbed to number 27. After moving to Warner Music in 2016, Nause issued “Dynamite,” a collaboration with Pretty Sister, the American songwriter Zak Waters, which peaked at number 13 on the Swedish pop chart.
