NCT WISH

NCT WISH, the concluding sub-unit within the expansive South Korean boy band collective NCT, channels an upbeat J-pop aesthetic already recognizable to followers of the wider group's numerous branches. The Tokyo-based six-member lineup of Sion, Riku, Yushi, Jaehee, Ryo, and Sakuya formed under joint management from SM Entertainment and Avex Trax when the members were finalized on the survival program NCT Universe: LASTART in September 2023. Ahead of their formal debut, the sextet spent the following month performing across Japan. That October they issued the “pre-debut” single “Hands Up.” Their first official release, the mini-album Wish, appeared in February 2024. The following June they returned with “Songbird,” issued in both Japanese- and Korean-language editions.
