Biography
An electronica production pair known as Bostich + Fussible maintains ties to the Nortec Collective, a group rooted in Tijuana, Mexico, and merges norteño traditions with techno elements. The pair consists of Ramón Amezcua, performing under the name Bostich, alongside Pepe Mogt, who operates as Fussible. Their initial collaboration occurred through the electronica endeavor Monnithor in the middle and later parts of the 1990s, leading to the inclusion of several joint works on Mil Records anthologies such as Nortec Sampler from 1999 and Nortec Experimental from 2001. Before joining forces, each pursued separate paths. Amezcua launched his Bostich project in 1988 and issued Elektronische via Opción Sónica in 1994. Mogt initiated Fussible in 1997 and put out Fono on the same label two years later. Earlier, Mogt participated in the industrial group Artefakto, responsible for Des-Construccion in 1993, Tierra Eléctrica in 1995, and Interruptor in 1997, all released by Opción Sónica. Starting in 1999 after their Monnithor efforts, Amezcua and Mogt joined the Nortec Collective as contributors—a assembly of Mexican electronica creators blending norteño and techno, which inspired the label "nortec"—with their solo efforts under Bostich and Fussible appearing on The Tijuana Sessions, Vol. 1 in 2001 along with Tijuana Sessions, Vol. 3 in 2005. In 2008, they issued the joint record Tijuana Sound Machine under the billing Nortec Collective Presents Bostich + Fussible.
