Biography
French metal outfit One Way Mirror took shape in 2005 after Guillaume Bideau on vocals, guitarists David Potvin and Franck Potvin, drummer Dirk Verbeuren, and bassist Loic Colin pooled their energies. Each musician already belonged to separate acts—Bideau with Mnemic, Verbeuren with Soilwork, Colin with both Scarve and Watcha, David Potvin with Lyzanxia, and Franck Potvin with Phaze 1—and the five had previously appeared together onstage and worked on assorted projects before forming this new unit. Once assembled in the studio to refine their style, they quickly laid down the songs intended for a first album. Bideau and David Potvin handled production duties on the record, which Tue Madsen mixed and mastered before completion in October 2007. One Way Mirror subsequently inked a deal with Metal Blade Records and issued the self-titled debut the next year.
