In the 1980s, the influential Galician rock group Os Resentidos emerged under the direction of Antón Reixa, who served as vocalist, composer, poet, and cultural provocateur. The lineup also comprised Alberto Torrado handling bass duties, Rubén Losada on saxophone, and Javier Soto on guitar, with the latter position taken over by Xabier Debesa starting in 1985. Their style stood out due to its playful yet disrespectful blend of rock elements with traditional Galician folk sounds, incorporating absurd humor and pioneering the Galician tongue within pop and rock frameworks. Between their debut album Vigo, Capital Lisboa in 1985 and Están Aquí from 1993, the ensemble put out a total of seven studio records, though their legacy primarily rests on the memorable 1986 single "Galicia Caníbal." After disbanding in 1994, the musicians came back together in 2012 to mark three decades with a tour and a commemorative record.
