Biography
Puerto Rican MC Papi Wilo first drew widespread attention through a string of freestyle performances captured inside an automobile and posted on YouTube beginning in 2013. Born Wilfredo Morales Salgado in 1994, he started composing rhymes and crafting tracks at thirteen before expanding his range to encompass reggaeton, bachata, and R&B. While employed as a school bus driver, students bestowed the nickname on him after he shared news of his impending fatherhood. The online circulation of those freestyle clips sparked viral momentum, quickly amassing thousands of social-media followers. Following his signing with Mac Management, the debut album La Luz del Diamante surfaced in 2014. Chosen Few Emeralds Entertainment then issued El Beginning the next year. In 2016 Wilo put out multiple singles, among them “Nadie Muere de Amor” and “Cancer.”
