Biography
Primarily known for his work behind the scenes as a gospel songwriter and producer, Percy Bady steps forward from time to time to issue recordings under his own name. Chicago served as both his birthplace and childhood home, and there he crafted projects for Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, and Yolanda Adams prior to issuing his first solo effort. That 2003 release, The Percy Bady Experience, included guest appearances by BeBe Winans, New Direction, the Soul Seekers, and additional artists. A decade afterward, he resumed his solo output via Kingdom Inspirations, marking his first album on the Maranatha! Music roster at the same time he joined the label as director of gospel A&R.
