Philmon Lee, a singer and songwriter now rooted in Atlanta, Georgia, possesses a big, soulful voice that shapes his earnest pop songs, drawing from classic rock, R&B, and contemporary pop influences. He honed his craft through early performances in the city’s bars and nightclubs before securing a major-label contract and issuing the 2021 EP 706. Demonstrating versatility across projects, he first collaborated with violinist Lindsey Stirling and later joined rapper Young Thug for the 2023 single “Baby Don’t Cry.”

Born in the blue-collar city of LaGrange just south of Atlanta, Lee started on piano, guitar, and drums while still young, guided by his musician father. Drawn to rock icons from Elvis Presley through Aerosmith, he also absorbed contemporary pop and R&B, gravitating especially toward Sam Smith, Post Malone, and Lewis Capaldi. After two unfocused semesters at college in Alabama, he abandoned his studies and relocated to Atlanta to pursue music full-time. Years spent composing tracks, fulfilling obligations, and accepting every available performance ultimately led to a contract with Epic Records, which recognized distinctive qualities in his material.

His initial singles, “Memories” and “Sunflower (I Refuse to Die),” appeared during the first half of 2020. Both tracks later surfaced on the debut EP 706, which also included the power ballad “No Saving Me,” featuring classical pop violinist Lindsey Stirling. The subsequent 2023 release “Baby Don’t Cry” again showcased an unexpected partnership, this time alongside Young Thug.
