Biography
Emerging with a style that blends nostalgic soul elements, contemporary beats, and relaxed pop sensibilities, John Splithoff issued his debut EP during 2013, though real traction arrived via the online drops of "Sing to You" in 2016 and "Show Me" the following year. Hailing from Chicago, he initially chased music opportunities in his hometown prior to relocating to New York City. The Move served as that initial 2013 EP release. On the 2014 single "What If She Wants You," he scaled back earlier rock leanings in favor of heightened electronic sheen, establishing a direction that subsequent efforts would follow. During 2016, Splithoff lent his voice to Saturn & Orygin's "Woke" while dropping the polished "Sing to You," with "Show Me" arriving in 2017 and incorporating guest vocals from Madison Ryann Ward. After teaming with Armando Young on "Stepping Stone" toward the end of that year, he resurfaced in 2018 via the Make It Happen EP, which contained six tracks.
