Florida native Poorstacy brought his emo-rap approach to light in 2019 via the six-track debut EP I Don't Care. A blend of guitars, hip-hop rhythms, and raw emotional lyrics earned him quick notice inside the underground hip-hop circuit. Multiple partnerships with Travis Barker paved the way for his second studio album, the 2021 release Party at the Cemetery.

Before issuing that EP, Poorstacy drew early attention by posting material online on his own. Shaped by hip-hop, metal, and punk, he began working with Nick Mira, whose credits include Post Malone and Juice WRLD, and entered the Internet Money collective. The next year he issued his first full-length album The Breakfast Club; a guest appearance by iann dior joined ongoing sessions with Mira plus producers Salem Vex, pharaohvice, and others. In 2020 he placed “Darkest Night” on the Grammy-nominated soundtrack for Bill & Ted Face the Music. The same year produced several further collaborations with Travis Barker, among them the tracks “Nothing Left” and “Hills Have Eyes.” Party at the Cemetery, his second full-length album, arrived in 2021 and contained a feature from Oli Sykes.
