Preston Pablo

Preston Pablo, a Canadian singer-songwriter, has earned acclaim for his emotive, natural fusion of pop and R&B. His breakthrough arrived via the 2022 Hot 100 single “Flowers Need Rain.”

Growing up in Timmins, Ontario, he developed an early passion for music through exposure to Michael Jackson, Beastie Boys, and Justin Bieber. Self-taught on guitar and drums, he began composing and laying down his own material during his teenage years. While still in his final year of high school, he issued his first single, “OMO,” which quickly gained traction online and accumulated thousands of streams. Subsequent joint releases included “Circles” with Fawlin and “When We Were Kids” with Zeegs. By 2020 he had put out several favorably received tracks such as “One Sided,” “She Tried It,” “Control,” and “Chargie.” He later secured a deal with Universal Music Canada, which issued the Banx & Ranx-produced “Don’t Break (My Soul)” in 2021. The following year brought “Flowers Need Rain,” which climbed to number 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
