Biography
Ro Ransom, who refers to himself as the "mystery boy," works as a vocalist and songwriter based in Harlem and fuses trap with atmospheric R&B. His material draws on Aaliyah and Justin Timberlake as key influences, resulting in tracks that deliver romantic, swag-heavy lyrics along with energetic ad-libs, Auto-Tuned crooning, and rap passages. Early visibility arrived in the first half of the 2010s via a handful of mixtapes and a guest spot on Casey Veggies' Sleeping in Class. The decisive breakthrough arrived via the 2015 single "See Me Fall" featuring Kensei Abbot, which gained added momentum after Y2K supplied a remix the following year. Subsequent partnerships with Nessly and Felix Snow, together with a tour alongside Dua Lipa, preceded the October 2017 release of the mixtape Momentum. That project gathered several prior singles, among them "Prettiest" with Jazz Cartier, "Doppelgänger," and both versions of "See Me Fall."
