Biography
Rudy Currence has operated as a singer, songwriter, keyboardist, and producer since the early 2000s, with his joint efforts and independent releases traversing contemporary gospel, R&B, and rap. A native of Rock Hill, South Carolina, he has supplied co-written material to Mya, Ray J, and Quincy Jones. In particular, he supplied contributions to two tracks on Lecrae's Dove- and Grammy-winning album Gravity, while also teaming with Donald Lawrence to create Karen Clark-Sheard's "Seven A.M.," a Grammy-nominated recording. On his own, Currence issued the R&B-oriented albums More Than You'll Ever Know (2003), Here with You (2006), and Digital Analog (2016). The gospel number "Testimony" (2017) appeared as the lead single from the subsequent full-length Stained Glass Windows.
