Biography
Electronic music producer and DJ Sam F, now based in Los Angeles, has earned a reputation as a sought-after live act through his propulsive dancefloor material. Originally from the Bay Area, he first gained widespread attention by handling production duties on the Saturday Night Live Lonely Island skit “When Will the Bass Drop.” Capitalizing on that exposure, he moved forward with independent releases that included early bootlegs incorporating interview fragments from DJ Khaled, alongside joint efforts with Yntendo, Truancy, Laura Lux, and additional collaborators. Festival appearances soon followed at events such as the Santa Cruz Music Festival, Electronic Sriracha Festival, Wobbleland, and Pixie Dust Festival. In 2016 he joined the Dim Mak roster and issued his first EP, Electric Soul, which contained the single “Limitless” featuring Sophie Rose. Additional singles appeared the next year, among them “On My Way” with JVZEL, “Run Away” with Sophie Rose, and “Wavy,” again featuring Sophie Rose alongside Tasty Treat.
