Biography
Search the City came together in 2004 as a Detroit-based alternative rock/punk outfit and quickly built a loyal following in the Motor City. Alex Sheldon on guitar and Adam McMillion on drums launched the project, which soon expanded to include vocalist Josh Frost, guitarist Jim Czech, and bassist Eli Clark. Once their debut EP Ghosts appeared in 2006, the musicians handled promotion themselves, covering costs and logistics while repeatedly hitting the Midwest and East Coast. Those efforts led to slots on the Vans Warped Tour alongside Spitalfield and the Audition. In April 2008 the group issued its first full-length album, A Fire So Big the Heavens Can See It, through Tooth & Nail.
