Biography
Sergio Sylvestre, an American pop singer, first drew notice in 2015 after joining the contestant roster on the Italian talent competition Amici di Maria De Filippi. Born in Los Angeles to parents who had immigrated from Mexico and Haiti, he turned to singing once a football injury ended his athletic path. A European vacation left him captivated by Italy, prompting his move to the southern region of Puglia. He secured entry into the show's fifteenth season via audition and soon won support from both the judging panel and the national audience, claiming victory in May 2016. Later that year he issued his debut album, Big Boy.
