Biography
Hailing from Hong Kong, Teddy Robin has built a multifaceted career as an actor, director, composer, and singer/songwriter, one that started in the 1960s and stretched well into the new millennium. His birth occurred in Hong Kong on March 2, 1945, after which he first rose to prominence fronting the English-language pop outfit Teddy Robin & the Playboys. Entry into cinema followed during the 1970s, where he took on duties both in front of and behind the camera as an actor and composer. Across later decades he earned repeated Hong Kong Film Award nominations in categories that included Best Original Film Song, Best Original Film Score, and Best Director.
