Biography
The Angry Kids, a Canadian act devoted to club and dance sounds, first appeared in the early 2000s as a Toronto-based trio of Beckstein, Tom da Bomb, and ry2K. Their cover of A Flock of Seagulls’ 1982 single “I Ran (So Far Away)” brought them initial attention and prompted a spring 2007 deal with Dance Street Records, Water Music, and Magic Records, driven by that track and the remixes that followed. Roughly three years later Tom da Bomb exited, leaving Beckstein and ry2K to carry on as a duo.
