Multifaceted British EDM producer Jon Gooch launched his Feed Me alias toward the end of the 2000s to showcase his fusion of dubstep and electro-house. Through releases on Deadmau5's Mau5trap imprint, his signature wobbly basslines and unpredictable drum patterns progressed across a steady succession of singles, high-profile remixes including work for Robyn, and full-length projects such as the 2013 album Calamari Tuesday.

Born in 1984 in Hertfordshire, England, Gooch initially gained recognition via the Spor pseudonym, where he specialized in aggressive drum'n'bass productions. He introduced the Feed Me name in 2008 with the track "The Spell," which leaned more toward dubstep, although he continued issuing material under Spor and additional monikers. The bulk of his Feed Me output appeared on Mau5trap, beginning with the 2010 debut album Feed Me's Big Adventure and continuing through regular single and EP drops such as 2011's To the Stars and 2012's Escape from Electric Mountain. His visibility grew further through remixes for Chase & Status ("Let You Go"), Nero ("Innocence"), Gorillaz ("On Melancholy Hill"), and Robyn ("Call Your Girlfriend").

Issued in 2013 on his own Sotto Voce label, Calamari Tuesday served as his sophomore full-length. Between 2014 and 2017 he maintained an annual pace of EPs with Feed Me's Psychedelic Journey, A Giant Warrior Descends on Tokyo, Feed Me's Family Reunion, and Feed Me's Existential Crisis. A 2014 collaboration with Kill the Noise produced the single "Far Away." Returning to Mau5trap, he delivered his third album, High Street Creeps, in 2019. Over time his approach moved beyond early dubstep influences toward intricate, rapidly shifting arrangements that referenced his drum'n'bass roots.
