Biography
The Anointed Pace Sisters, a group of no fewer than nine siblings, first performed together at high school talent shows. Early in the 1970s they earned nationwide recognition by claiming Best Gospel Group at the Annual Church of God in Christ Music Convention and then devoted the remainder of the decade to the Action Revival Team led by the Rev. Gene Martin. Their debut album, U-Know, was issued by Savoy Records in 1982 and stayed on Billboard’s gospel charts for more than twelve months, while later projects included the live set My Purpose. LaShun Pace eventually embarked on a solo career before her death on March 21, 2022, in Atlanta, Georgia, at age 60.
