The Plug

Rooted in an Amsterdam-based record label, this collaborative rap endeavor was launched by Jack the Plug alongside engineer Sean D. Jack the Plug initially launched the enterprise through a series of cannabis cafés across Europe, beginning in Barcelona, Berlin, and Amsterdam. Expansion followed with a distribution operation in Oakland, California, along with the creation of Plug Recordz as a music imprint. A short exchange on social media led Jack to discuss forming a multi-artist project with Sean D. Drawing on prior connections throughout the U.K. rap scene, Sean D recruited a range of MCs to participate. The resulting debut album, Plug Talk, arrived in 2019 and showcased contributions from Kenny Allstar, Offset, Chip, Yxng Bane, Loski, Rich the Kid, M Huncho, 67, and Fredo, among others.
