Biography
Titus Showers has earned recognition as a singer and songwriter whose work draws from gospel, soul, and R&B traditions. His initial recognition came while serving as lead vocalist for the sibling gospel ensemble known as the Showers. After launching a solo career in 2018, he has delivered multiple gospel successes such as "In His Name," "We Need You," and "Feed Me," each highlighting his expressive melodies and resonant themes.
The Showers, rooted in Hammond, Louisiana, consist of six sisters and four brothers. They surfaced in 2009, blending conventional gospel elements with a modern R&B sensibility and adopting a relaxed, street-oriented approach distinct from many peers of the era. Before striking out alone in 2018, Showers contributed songwriting and vocals to the group’s Stellar Award-nominated releases The Showers Family Group (2015) and The Journey (2017).
March 2019 brought his worship-focused track "In His Name," which preceded the May arrival of his first solo album, Who? The next year saw the release of "It’s Gonna Be Alright Remix," featuring Jermaine Dolly, which reached the top of the Billboard Gospel Airplay chart. The self-titled Titus Showers arrived in 2022 and contained the gospel radio success "We Need You," while 2024 found him collaborating with noted gospel producer Fred Hammond on the single "Feed Me."
