Biography
Hailing from Greeleyville, South Carolina, Joshua Rogers performs contemporary gospel with notable technical ability paired with a modest demeanor. As a singer and songwriter, he grew up inside an Apostolic church led by his grandmother in the role of pastor, where he contributed vocals and handled drumming duties. An audition for the fifth season of BET's Sunday Best resulted in his victory in the contest and, in turn, a recording agreement with Music World. Released in November 2012, the EP Well Done contains covers of material first performed by Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Andraé Crouch, and Mary Mary; the project entered Billboard's Gospel Albums chart in the top position. October 2013 brought Unconditional, Rogers' initial full-length album, which included several original songs developed in collaboration with Pierre Medor.
