Aiming to pioneer the concept of a "decentralized" K-Pop act, the multinational girl group TripleS brings together 24 idols drawn from South Korea, China, Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand. Digital "objekts" empower fans to influence sub-unit configurations and creative output, allowing the ensemble to shift across styles and lineups until its complete 24-member roster made its bow on the 2024 studio album Assemble24.

Modhaus, a South Korean entertainment company, declared plans in February 2022 to assemble a fan-shaped girl group. The initial eight-piece roster—SeoYeon, HyeRin, JiWoo, ChaeYeon, YooYeon, SooMin, NaKyoung, and YuBin—split into the sub-units Acid Angel from Asia and +(Kr)ystal Eyes. Acid Angel from Asia delivered the project's first official release, the debut EP Access. By the close of 2022, Modhaus had added Kaede, DaHyun, Kotone, YeonJi, and Nien. Ten members contributed to the early-2023 EP Assemble, a seven-track collection whose bright lead single "Rising" propelled it to number ten on the Korean charts. Once SoHyun joined as the fourteenth member, supporters voted to create the third and fourth sub-units, forming the eight-member LOVElution and EVOLution. That May, +(Kr)ystal Eyes issued their own debut EP, Aesthetic.

Further sub-unit activity followed when Acid Angel from Asia and +(Kr)ystal Eyes merged into Acid Eyes. Xinyu and Mayu were subsequently assigned to LOVElution and EVOLution, which each launched an EP—Muhan and Mujuk. December brought two more teams: the ballad-focused Aria and NXT, the latter introducing Lynn, JooBin, HaYeon, and ShiOn. In April 2024 the final quartet—ChaeWon, Sullin, SeoAh, and JiYeon—completed the roster and debuted as the seventh sub-unit, Glow.

The finished 24-member lineup unveiled its first full-team studio album, Assemble24, fronted by the uplifting single "Girls Never Die," which entered the Korean Albums Chart at number three. June saw the announcement of the 12-member sub-unit Visionary Vision, while Glow released "Inner Dance."
