Xuitcasecity, the Los Angeles electronic-pop, hip-hop, and R&B duo of singer Mike Gomes and rapper Cam Young, first drew notice through their 2017 EP INDXGO and its song “Bout You,” which reached number 36 on Billboard’s Rhythmic Songs chart.

The pair came together in 2012 after connecting online. Rhode Island native Gomes had once aimed at a professional basketball career before picking up the guitar, whereas Young, steeped in hip-hop from childhood, encountered electronic music during high school and had already cut three independent albums by then. After exchanging tracks through social media, they recognized their combined strengths and moved to Tampa. There they adopted the name Xuitcasecity, taken from the neighborhood “suit case city” just south of the University of South Florida, known for its large transient population. Their debut EP, INDXGO, arrived in 2017 and highlighted their blended style of electronic music; “Bout You” gained traction online and climbed to its Billboard peak. Subsequent live dates included support slots for the Chainsmokers, G-Eazy, and Cheat Codes, plus a prominent set at Electric Zoo in 2018. The duo later settled in Los Angeles, where they released their follow-up EP, CXTY NIGHTS, in 2019, led by the single “Lead Me On.”
