24 Horas

Emerging from New York City, the bachata trio 24 Horas reached the top of the tropical charts in 2010 via their first single, also called "24 Horas." The members, all raised in Washington Heights—the heavily Dominican section of Manhattan—include Mickey Then (born Jonathan Then), Joell Jaquez (born Rodolfo Jaquez), and Jiory Garcia (born Rubén Severino). Their first full-length album, Los Inolvidables, appeared in 2010 on Machete Music and yielded two singles: the chart-topping tropical smash "24 Horas" plus the Top 30 hit "Mami Dame un Beso." The standalone single "Duele Duele" arrived the next year.
