Biography
Hailing from Chico, California, Armed for Apocalypse came together in the late 2000s, built around vocalist/guitarist Kirk Williams, guitarist Cayle Hunter, bassist Corey Vaspra, and drummer Nick Harris. Previous stints in Will Haven, Abominable Iron Sloth, and Ghostride supplied the quartet with ample heavy metal background, so their particular fusion of sludge, extreme, and melodic death metal soon found an audience among west coast listeners. Their first album, Defeat, appeared on Metal Blade in 2009.
