Biography
Hendrik Willemyns and John Roan established Arsenal in Belgium during 1999, and the group put out its debut record Oyebo Soul three years later. That European success showcased numerous musical approaches along with the song "A Volta," which appeared on the U.S. drama Six Feet Under. Building on Oyebo Soul's momentum, the band delivered a successful second effort titled Outsides in 2005 that included contributions from Aaron Perrino, Gabriel Ríos, and Chi Zang. Blending global influences with pop elements, Outsides along with its accompanying performances attracted additional listeners, earning Arsenal the title of top live act at Rock Werchter Festival. The group sustained its success in 2008 by issuing Lotuk as its third studio album.
